How to toggle keyframe timeline to scroll left and right as I scroll left and right and click in video timeline?

When I’m making changes with keyframes, the horizontal scolling of the keyframes timeline in the effect properties window doesn’t move or scroll whenever i play the video or click around in the video timeline. I’m constantly having to zoom out and in on the timeline and manually search left and right for the current play point.

How do you toggle this to keep pace with the video timeline automatically?

It by design.

You can uncheck Pin to Clip (hamburger menu) which will give you more room in the Effect Controls.

What do you mean by design? I just need a toggle in the bottom right of that window where I can turn on “follow timeline” or something so I don’t have to keep manually maneuvering it.
Maybe another toggle that mirrors the timeline zoom level, too.

There is no toggle for what you want to do.

The only thing that follows is the playhead.
