Since the new update, any video I try and import into Pr only comes in as a second long.  Unsure if its a bug or what.

I've ran into a similar issue. I recently got a virus on my computer that moved to my hard drive. I had then moved everything to a new hard drive and worked on a computer at my school. I downloaded everything and submitted it but heard from my teacher that it was only one second long which wasn't how the file was once exported and it was working fine before. My computer got fixed and when I looked at the Primiere Project File and the completed downloaded file, nothing's playing. How can I fix this?

Hi Guys, I believe I have found a fix for this. I use an Elgato hd60 to record gameplay and ran into the 0.01 second import glitch. I renamed the files to be one line long and it seemed to solve it. Examples - original file name "My Great Game Capture - My Great Game Capture - 2018 - 02 - 27.mp4". And yes, for some odd reason it put the spaces between everything. The fix was renaming it to something short but relevant to the clip as to not get confused while working. Edited file name - "snowbuilds.mp4". Make sure your file names don't have spaces in them either, I've had that cause problems in the past as well. Hope this helps guys and gals, good luck!

So unfortunately I am unable to install any prior version of the program to my computer.  I do not have the option.

You have it in the CC app.

Look under the dropdown menu of Premiere.

Today, I both uninstalled both Premiere Pro and Media Encoder, and unfortunately neither worked after I reinstalled it.  Not sure what else I will be able to do.  It was working fine before the latest update.

    Hi josephm54899123,

Please install any Premiere Pro version prior to 12.0.1 version & check.

    Let us know the status.

    Thanks,

    Vidya

    Hi All,

Sorry for the inconvenience. What is the source of the MP4 files. We have a similar known issue with Elgato captured footage in the latest version.

The workaround is to use the previous version of Premiere Pro. Here are the steps: Install previous version of your Creative Cloud app

    Thanks,

    Vidya

Has this issue been fixed or do I have to keep using the previous version of Premiere?

I had some issues with glitches and drifting sync in some mp4 source files and i downloaded a trial version of TMPGEnc MPEG Smart Renderer 5 and since it smart render the clip it only took a couple of seconds to fix the clip. The glitches were gone and the A/V sync were restored. Worth testing iow.

I reset everything in Premier Pro and it is still only importing the first second of the videos I am trying to use.

It is a MP4 file.  Doesn't matter if it is a new project or an old one.  I will now reset everything.
