Question

Insert and Overwrite buttons & keys don't work.

Hi all.

I have a mono wave audio file in my source monitor, with In and Out marked. I have the playhead parked in my timeline at the intended insertion point, and an audio track targeted. The audio track is empty at that point in the timeline (and is empty downstream).

Insert and Overwrite do nothing. The buttons under the source monitor and keyboard shortcuts don't work. If I drag the audio to the timeline it works fine.

Anybody know what's up here, before I file a bug on this? This seems like basic editing functionality broken in PPro CC 2017 on Mac.

Thanks!

I am having this exact same problem. I am so sick of Adobe, their expensive products, and these careless bugs. I cannot get Insert to work- yet it worked the last time I used this program.

Comma, the insert shortcut, does not work.

Any Answers?

Thanks, Jim.

That seems redundant. What's the point of having an entire additional set of target selectors in that leftmost column? We already have target selectors for each track; why not use them?

A good question for the design team.
