Insert from Source Monitor without switching focus to Program Monitor?

Hi community,

as I wrote in the headline: Is there a way to use the "Insert"- or "Overwrite"-commands in the source monitor  without switching the focus to the program monitor?
I haven't found any option for this in the program settings yet, but it would improve my workflow a lot.

The default behaviour in Premiere Pro is to not switch focus when doing Inserts/Owerwrites. In the screen shot you can see that there is a option to set focus to the Timeline, so make sure that this is unchecked.

If it is unchecked i would start with trashing the Preferences: FAQ: How to reset (trash) preferences in Premiere Pro?

Thanks, I know this option, I also have it unchecked. It also seems logically to me to leave focus where it is when it's unchecked, but the behavior I noticed is switching from the source monitor to the program monitor (instead of switching to the timeline with checked option). I was a long time confused about that, till I understood what this option really does, so I think I need an option to not reset focus at all when inserting.

I just noticed, it depends on my workspace:
Mostly I have program monitor and source monitor in one panel. Then it behaves the "wrong" way I just described. When I set both windows next to each other, it works as it should. This is weird... Adobe can you fix that please?

I have program monitor and source monitor in one panel.

That should be...changed.
