iPhone Cinematic - Help Please!

Guys,
Does anyone have tips for importing iPhone Cinematic clips to Premiere? Windows PC/ iPhone 14 Max Pro and the latest version of Premiere.
The files won't import unless I change them to MP4 format from MOV. Is this normal?
Should I record HDR mode?

And the colours (with MP4) don't look great. What profile do you suggest?
Thanks so much.
Chummy

Hi @Chummystyle ,

Sorry for this problem again. We have fixed it in the latest beta build.
Please check out the latest beta build version from the creative cloud and let us know how it goes there.

You can download the latest Premiere Pro Beta build from Creative Cloud --> Beta apps --> Premiere Pro (Beta)
https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/creative-cloud-public-beta.html

We have also received a confirmation of this fix @ https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-media-encoder-bugs/import-movie-fails/idi-p/13337381

If you still face this issue, please share your media files(& project) here and we will check at our end https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/share.html

I hope it will help.
Thanks,
Mayjain

First, you are probably better off to turn HDR off in that iPhone. HDR is still the Wild Wild West, and can be tricksy to get 1)decent ouput that 2) is seen even close to what you intend by others.

So sticking with SDR/Rec.709 for now is far simpler and more reliable both within your system and in exporting for others to view.

Past that, you can tell Premiere to transform the HLG files you've got to Rec.709 by right-clicking one or more files in the Project panel. Modify/Interpret Footage, set the Override-To option to Rec.709.
