Question

Keeps crashing

My premiere pro keeps crashing. Now I have already tried the normal things: resetting my preferences, reinstalling premiere, updating etc.

My computer can't be the problem since it works on a RAM of 16 gb and my windows is 64 bit and in the past I didn't have this problem.

The problem arises when I try to make/ open a project. It doesn't matter if my external drive is inserted or if it is saved on there or the computer, it still has the same problem.

Does anybody know what it could be/ how to fix it?

Thank you so much in advance!

The asked information:

Issue: as stated above

Premiere version: 25.0.0 ( build 61 )

Operating system: windows 11

System info:

             CPU: 11th gen intel(r) core(tm) i7- 1185G7         3 ghz

             GPU: intel(r) iris(r) xe graphics

             GPU driver: 31.0.101.5333

             RAM: 16 gb

             Hard drive: NVMe BC711 NVMe SK hynix 512gb - SSD ( I believe )

External harddrive: sandisk 1tb, usb 3.0

Video format: 60 fps, vertical

Workflow details: there are no details since I couldn't even open the project.

Steps to reproduce:

1. open premiere

2. try making/ opening project ( doesn't matter if it is from your pc or hard drive )

3. premiere crashes

Expected result: project opens

Actual result: premiere crashes

P.S. I work with Indonesian time so replies can be after a while. And I am no professional. I am doing this as a passion project if mine and since my school wanted me to get adobe I thought I would do my passion projects with premiere since I already have it. If any information is missing please let me know.
