Markers absent in audio track of merged clips
First, I wish we could change the color of the 'background' to clip markers when Overlays are ON; currently, the marker color in the video track appears blue behind black text in the Program window, and it's hard to read, but it's bright green in audio markers, for some reason, which is easy to read.
My workflow on a feature doc involves heavy reliance on markers across multiple interviews, and the legibility of marker text in the Name or Comments field is more clear with the bright green color due to the markers appearing in the audio track as well as the video track...So there's that.
Here's my deal:
- When I add markers to merged clips, and add text to the name or comments fields, and drop a portion as a select into a sequence...
- And I park the playhead over the marker of the selected clip portion, I see BOTH blue and green overlays of the text I wrote into the marker's fields. Because I have both Video and Audio tracks selected in the Overlays settings, because I like to do that.
- so far so good -
- I have an assistant working remotely, who is marking up interviews, using the exact same merged clips I made. She adds markers in the Source window, as I do.
BUT
- When I import the clips from her project file (in essence using her marked up Merged clips as the master merged clips now), I do see markers she made, but when I place selects into a sequence from her work, the markers DON'T APPEAR IN THE AUDIO TRACK. For no apparent reason.
Not a huge, life threatening problem. But...why? Why don't they show up in the audio track?
