mc_dec_hevc.dll module fault

Hi,
While working in Premiere or during the import of media files, the program crashes.
In the Event Viewer, I find the following error log:

I have already reinstalled both Premiere and my graphics card drivers.

Hey Jake, sorry for the issue! Are you seeing this when importing footage? Are you importing .HEVC footage?

 

The first thing I would try would be to uninstall and reinstall Premiere. Here's an article that can show you how to uninstall the app: https://adobe.ly/4716Rm3

Hopefully, when you reinstall it, it will correctly install the HEVC codec and allow you to import your footage. Let us know if this helps!

It's actually completely random, just while I'm editing (not importing). I did just overclock my PC and it only started happening after that, so maybe that's related?

What kind of media files are you importing and working with? Are you getting a Crash Report dialogue box? If so, have you sent this report with your email included?
