Question

Muticam waveform showing in some multicams but not other

Hi

I'm having a issue where some of my mulitcams shows waveform when added to timeline and others do not.

One workaround I have found working is to copy all tracks and clips from the multicam that does not show waveform to a multicam that does show waveform in timeline.

All the clips have waveform when I open the mulitcam in timeline, it is only when I try to add the multicam to a edit timeline the waveform not showing.

I can't see any obvius difference between the working and the non working multicam. All the mulitcams have "Multicahannel audio mapped to xx mono".

I have tried to "Generate waveform" without success, my assumsion is that there are some setting or value in the not working multicams that I can't figure out

I'm running Premiere Pro 22.5 with Premierer Productions.

Hello @VebjornRakvaag,

Thanks for the message. It’s been a long time since you filed this bug, and I apologize for the lack of a response. Are you still having this issue? If so, the team will need more information from you to reproduce the bug. Can you provide the information required here? How do I write a bug report?

I'll move your post to the Discussions board while we await your information.

Thanks,

Kevin

Is there a fix for this, it's been a year - I am having the same issue on my multicam sequence. All the waveforms show in the actual multicam source, but not when being used. I have followed every fix I could find online (emptying cache, generate waveforms etc) and nothing works.

I work with multi-camera sequences as a daily basis, and I follow these rules without having any problems with audio waveforms:

If you add any keyframe to any audio clip inside of your multicam sequence, the waveform will just disappear in your main sequence, that's why I never do that.
Also, if you apply any audio effect to any clip in your multicam sequence, the waveform will just disappear in your main sequence, so you may apply those effects in your main timeline to avoid the problem.

If the problem persists (it shouldn't) , you may find right-click on audio and choosing Multi-camera > flatten to be useful.

Thanks for the link Ali, I did read through and test the suggestions that were mentioned in that post, but non of the worked reliably.

To render audio works, but many of the mulicams are pretty long and all audio are gone after a reboot.

I made shure there was no keyframes or effect in the MC, and the Enable method only brings the waveform of the first track.
