My mask is offset from the main selection

I'm not sure why exactly this is happening but as you can see it's almost as if the mask e projecting in the background

Do you have the Transform effect applied to the clip or is there any other scaling applied?

Only on the main clip. I'm using a 4k video on a 1920x1080 sequence, so I
zoomednout a bit.
Also the mask e on an adjustment layer
