My timeline is giving me false dupe detection alerts

Question

My timeline is giving me false dupe detection alerts. I Started seeing it the past week. And I havent updated this week. I'd make a single cut in a long rip of broll and the 2nd half (the right side of the cut) would instantly light up as a dupe after I made the cut mark, then it went away. now this morning I'm cutting music and its telling me the 2nd half of my song is a duplicate. buts it not. I've searched the entire timeline. I've purged my cache. if i match back to the song and re cut in that song from scratch it still shows as a dupe. im not using the remix tool at all. If I quit out of premiere and come back in, it's still there.  I have not reset all my preferences and prefer not to do that unless its a dire situation
