Question

Playback freeze then crash while my mouse is still free

I have Premiere up to date, Nvidia up to date and Windows up to date.
The premiere files I tested on had a cache with 10TB free.
My C drive has 158GB free.

I've had this problem since this morning, first goes normally then 2 options:
- the playback continues to run but the waveform of my timeline disappears and no sound then freezes the playback and the error appears
- the playback freezes but I can still move my playback head etc... but the playback no longer moves and sometimes the software stops responding and displays the error

After that either after a minute or 2 it returns to normal or the error is displayed and premiere no longer responds etc...

I tried moving the plug-ins to an external file without success + canceling the workspace import without success.
I tested with a very heavy project then with a much lighter project, same result.
I am doing a test on a project that is not a team project and still.

Hello,

Thanks for the comment. I just tried, still freezing comes back.

I don't know what to try actually.

First thing is always close Premiere, launch while holding Shift key, select option to dump cache files. Then see if it works properly.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
