Question

Premeire wont link back to Raw footage

I'm trying to relink my Raw camera files in premeire, but they will not recognize my proxies/transcodes I used as being the exact same. So they won't all auto link. We used Frame io C2C functionality on set to create h264 proxies staight from the camera to our cloud server. They were created no problem and had no issues using them for the edit. But now when trying to online the project Premiere won't recognize the raws and the proxies as having the same name even though they do character for character they are the exact same. Even when I'm in the media browser for relinking, I will check the box that says "display exact name match only" and it will not show up even though I can clearly see the raw file in my folder to click on and re link. I dont want to have to do it one by one. Which does work btw but I shouldnt have to. That's the whole point of the C2C finction to streamline the post workflow. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

I'm using Premiere 25.2 on a mac studio m1 ultra. All footage, raws and proxies are located on a NAS system.

After doing some looking I found out that for some reason the Terdek Serv 4k device we used on set to capture proxies from the Alexa 35 created them with incorrect timecodes. So the TC of the Raw footage and the proxies do not line up. Which explains why they wont auto relink. Not sure why they were created incorrectly becasue the TC are only off by a frame or two.

Hi @mcydg49648199 - Here is the  C2C: Complete Proxy Workflow Guide

You can also reach out to the C2C team they may be able to offer more specific guidance.

Hi @mcydg49648199 - After you relink one clip.  Click the search button and let us know if that helps.

Hey, sorry for such a late reply. I never have the "File Extension" check box checked since the codecs are rarley ever the same as the RAW footage. Here is a screenshot though of my dialogue box. It will look different than the screenshots before cuz Im wokring on the same project but a different sequence so the footage is still from the same place just relinking different footage now. The other screenshots are to show that the footage doesnt show up when searching in the RAW folders and doesnt show up when checking the "Display Only Exact Name Matches" check box. But it does show up when im looking in the proxies folder no problem.

Hi @mcydg49648199 -  Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.
Please see, How do I write a bug report?

Can you post a screenshot of your Link media dialog box?

Can you try unchecking "File Extension"?

Sorry for the frustration.
