Premier 26.3.2 (Build 2) complaints

Premier 26.3.2 (Build 2)  Following complaints:

  1. The CENTER ROLL TOOL will not appear over a clip head or tail-- only left or right trim appears. Track is live, selected. I have to use a keyboard command to center the trim. This is brain dead behavior-- I discovered you can select Center Roll detection with the mouse only if you hold down the Command key. Oh! A useless new feature? Really? Restore the traditional sensory behavior for detecting a trim or center roll. It’s expected.
  2. LABEL COLORS have been dulled down; user needs to go into Label edit area and restore proper gamma to each damn label. Really, I’d rather be a postman. Please restore full brightness to Labels. It’s expected.
  3. NO-SHOW VIDEO KEYFRAMES: This version arrives default without control lines on video or audio clips. User must dive into the Timeline Wrench menu to restore this bizarre omission.
  4. Deliberate data-rich PNG Graphics (usually brought in at 300 DPI into a ProRes HD or 4K timeline) misbehave. When I apply a mask to an unlit pub doorway to convey warmth inside, and I push in as though entering, it usually plays fine after rendering, but on export the shot is cropped out halfway through image, and I’m guessing the entire alpha channel is being shifted left, because the mask shape is left hanging out in the street. WTF??
And I think suggestions to use Set Size to Frame makes the data rich photo useless for push-ins, which as expected go blurry. This has never before been an issue. Please restore the formerly generous G-world!!
  5. SNAP TO TIMELINE is set to the N key and does no longer function. Can we snap to it, please??

TEST MORE, RELEASE LESS!

Gratefully as always,

Lor

Hey Loren! Great to see you here. Long time, my brother! 🙂

I hear you on these, and I can certainly understand the frustration — especially when familiar editing behaviors change or something that’s been working for years suddenly behaves differently.

A quick heads-up on getting these in front of the right people: since this landed in the Questions forum, the product team may not see it here. Bug reports are handled in the Bug Reports forum, where the team can track them directly. They are also in the Feature Requests forum.

They also prefer each issue in its own post. I know that means a little more work, but it gives each one its own thread for investigation, discussion, and voting.

Here’s the guide we put together with the product team that explains the best way to report an issue:

That said, before you start reposting everything, let me see what I can find. A couple of these sound like they may already have existing bug reports or discussions. If so, I’ll point you to those so you can add your experience and vote rather than having to start from scratch.

Really good to hear from you again, Loren. Hope I can expedite the process of getting these things fixed 😄

    Cheers,
    Kevin
