Premiere 2025 Timeline Freeze when Mogrt Added

It’s important to understand that a MOGRT is essentially a container that holds all sorts of elements—like animations, effects, and text layers. The performance of a MOGRT in Premiere Pro can vary depending on how complex the contents inside it are. For example, a MOGRT with lots of layers, high-resolution assets, or heavy effects might require more resources to render, which could cause it to perform more slowly. On the other hand, a simpler MOGRT with fewer elements will generally perform much better.

This means that different MOGRTs can have vastly different performance characteristics even if they were created in the same software. So, I don't want to exclude the possibility that there might be a bug, but the complexity of the elements and the use of certain expressions inside the MOGRT can definitely affect how well it runs in Premiere.

I recently got the latest update on my personal pc as I'm working on a few projects for freelancing clients, and when I added some mogrts it completely messed up my timeline render. Things would just not show up.
Also happens when using graphics from the Premiere Composer expression. Thing is, since I didn't have a project backed up in a different older version, I now have to continue forward with this one and do every graphic animation on Ae.
I guess I'll finish this one then switch to an earlier 25 version until this one is a bit more stable?

Interesting.  It does seem inconsistent.  Seems like my custom lower thirds crash it as you described,  but the ones that take up the full screen (with with an alpha transition at the front and back) are totally fine.  I can't figure out a rhyme or reason.  

Funny thing is the same Mogrts that were crashing the 2024 project updated to 2025 work perfectly fine in a new 2025 sequence.

Good to know.  I have a set of lower thirds made last year that seem to trip up premiere to no end.  The only quick solution is to start a new smaller projet,  sequence it, export with alpha, then reimport.  Which isn't very helpful.

No, never got it solved.  I exported the lower thirds from After Effects to finish that project and am now editing exclusively in 2025.    It seems that the project that was started in 2024 and then updated to 2025 was the problem.  Since starting all subsequent projects directly in 2025 I haven't had a problem with Mogrts crashing the project.

Actually having the same problem here, has there been any fix for you? 

Hello Rach.   The project was originally started in Premiere 2024.  MOGRTS were ones I had made from AE, some premade from Envato, and some were the basic MOGRTS that come as the default in Premiere, all are causing this problem.
