Premiere Pro CC 2018 won't import footage...

I'm trying to import footage through Media Browser and the program freezes half way through importing the file.  Also, the files take a very long time to show up in the Media Browser window.  Suggestions?

Welcome to cc 2018! Guess if enough people have the same issue someone from Adobe will look at this and post a reply. Never surprises me the number of bugs and incompatibilities users experience when the latest roll out gets crammed down our throats. Don't get me wrong Adobe, I like some of the new features but come on, these persistent issues keep popping up.

Hey Adobe, if your tuning in right now are we now obliged to solely use the media browser to get assets into Premiere? Eric, you might want to try that. I had to reboot Premiere twice (just installed the latest update yesterday after having persistent issues with encoder. Lo and behold they went away after updating but now I have the freezing up issue when importing. Guess you can only break even with Premiere!) before figuring out that work around.

Adobe, are you there?

I know what you mean.  Here I am working away happily, when suddenly there's a knock at my door.  Annoyed by the interruption, I get up to answer it anyway.  I barely have the door open when these Adobe thugs push their way in, force me back to my editing chair, grab my hands and actually make me click the icons to Upgrade my software.

WTF Adobe!!!

Now I got lucky.  The new version seems to be working just fine for me and my projects.  But to force the upgrade on me like that...I feel violated.
