Premiere Pro crashes when cutting a speech-enhanced audio clip

The programs crashes (freezes and has to be quit through task manager) when I cut an audio-enhanced clip, whether the audio clip is linked to a video clip or not.

1. Enhance a clip with Essential sound enhance (dialoque)

2. Cut the audio clip with the scissors tool

3. Freeze

I have Supertone Clear installed but not in use in any of these cases.

Hello @david.parke,

It is primarily a macOS-based problem, yes, see: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/known-issue-crash-w-enhance-speech-on-macs-with-amd-radeon-gpus/idi-p/14780699/page/3#comments

PC users might be experiencing a similar bug, so let's leave this bug open for those folks. I apologize for this problem.

Thanks,
Kevin

Assuming you're happy with the results of the Enhance Audio, right-click the enhanced audio in the Timeline and choose Render and Replace.  This writes a WAV file to disc.  The resulting file will have " Audio Extracted" appended to the filename.

If you've run Transcribe on the original audio, you'll have to run that again.

If needed, you can right-click again and choose Restore Unrendered later.

My theory is this is an intel mac issue. I have never been able to recreate this issue on an M series mac.

You're right, @david.parke, that is an issue that is now fixed in macOS 15. The OP, however, is a PC user.

Cheers,
Kevin

Hola buenos días, yo creo que deberías eliminar tu cache de medios, quizás haya algo allí que esté generando el error. luego reinicia el programa; espero te sirva de ayuda.
Me pasó algo similar hace algún tiempo.

Saludos cordiales

It is definitely due to the enhance effect: Premiere does not freeze if I turn off enhance before cutting and then turn it back on after.
