Premiere Pro hangs and lags on every action

Hi there!

In the past few weeks, I've encountered an issue that I haven't experienced before, really. Premiere Pro will hang and just freeze from anywhere between 2-6 seconds on almost any given action, be it cutting up a sequence, ripple delete, cut everything behind or everything in front, etc. This is excruciating and completely ruins any sense of workflow and patience I have with the program. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to fix this, or if anyone have experienced similar issues.

My setup:

RTX 4090

i9 13900K

64GB RAM

Premiere Pro is installed on SSD

Videos are installed on SSD but on another internal disk

Editing is done in 4K 60 fps footage

I have the same problem with the same setup. My mouse freezes every 10 seconds when I open a multicam project. I'm considering DaVinci Resolve 18

I am having the same hang freeze issue in Premier Pro. I took my macbook to the Apple certified repair shop but they didn't find too much wrong with the machine. It is especially problematic while using the text tool in Premier. I am beginning to feel it's a glitch in the text essential graphics of Premier. i haven't yet tried other applications yet???
