Premiere Pro is physically not working
Pretty much anything and everything within the timeline works, but not physically. I can click and drag the timeline marker and the 'program' panel will show the exact frame I've selected. The frames change when I move the marker, so I know it works, but the marker itself does not move at all. The same goes for clicking and dragging audio or video clips within the timeline. When I hit the space bar to play my video, everything snaps into the desired position. Even the tools have a physical issue. The button of the tool I select does not highlight but the cursor changes, so I know the selected tool is active. On startup, even the entire timeline and everything surrounding it, including the effects panel, etc. are all invisible. That is until I click any top menu item such as 'window' or 'file' of 'view', then everything appears.
Working on a brandnew Windows 11 laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 with 16 GB RAM and I'm only editing FHD smartphone clips that are just over 40 seconds long. Premiere Pro does not freeze, it just does not show any physical changes until I click something unrelated. I'm already installing an older version of Premiere Pro but the new project files are not backwards compatible. Adobe, come on!
Everything did work yesterday.
Does anyone have any clue what's going on here?
