Hello everyone,

I need your help since I'm experiencing many problems with Premiere Pro on my Macbook Pro M3 Max 48GB.

- All footage is on an SSD

- Project files on computer

- Media cache goes to one folder on the computer

- Ram stored for Premiere is 48 GB

- Sequence Settings (it's the same with all sequence I tried):

DSLR

1080 x 1920
29,97 fps
48000 Hz - Stereo
Working Color Space: Rec. 709

Attached an example.

What can I do? I tried to import the same media on DaVinci and it's sooo fast, however I would not like switch the software.

@jamieclarke  SOLVED the issue by removing Sony Catalyst Browse/Prepare from the Mac.
Thank you

Hi Team,

I’m using Adobe Premiere Pro on a MacBook Pro (M3 Pro), and I’m experiencing lag and freezing issues in the Color tab. It becomes very slow and is affecting my workflow.

Could you please help me resolve this issue?

Thanks.

Hi @jamieclarke , "No conflicts to report"

Here another incredible example: 29.97 fps sequence, same as the clips and even though I did the rendering I still have lags in playback. How is that possible?

Can you go to the menu bar under help and select "system compatibility report" then choose export.  There will be two files can you email them to jamiec@adobe.com

Hi @jamieclarke I tried any workspace, 1/4 resolution, etc... nothing changes. The weird thing is the following, when I launch Premiere everything works well for the first 1-2 minutes of usage, after that all the problems appear.

I deleted the caches, but nothing.

Hi @manfredi29549288rb7w - Please close any extra panels to try and isolate what the problem is.  Can you also try unchecking "High Quality Playback" and which resolution 1/2, 1/4 do you get smooth playback?  Do you get the same problem when your footage is in a 16x9 sequence?

Hi @jamieclarke , I closed the submachine panel but the problem persists. I had the same problem also with the previous version of Premiere, where I didnt have any extension.

HI @manfredi29549288rb7w - I see some extra panels you have open. one in particular is submachine can you try closing this panel or disabling it and then try.  Any extra panels do the same thing to try and isolate what the problem is.

Here you find the same sequence in DaVinci
