Question

Premiere Pro will not open at all: No splash screen, nothing. Other adobe apps work perfectly fine.

Whenever I open Premiere Pro (i've tried both 2024 and 2025 versions) and whether I open the app from the search bar, from my files, or from the creative cloud app: nothing happens.
The cursor switches to the wait cursor and then nothing will happen, not even a splash screen.

Other apps like photoshop or illustrator work completely fine.

 

I have tried troubleshooting this issue with other forums but to no avail:
- opening with 'alt' or 'ctrl shift alt' dont do anything

- deactivating/allowung past firewall didnt work

- using the beta version also does not work

- ive tried installing it to my secondary drive instead -  did not work

 

please dear goodness i need help

    My pc runs on windows 11
    and my specs are:

    CPU
     
    Intel(R) Pentium(R) Gold G6405 CPU @ 4.10GHz (CPU)
    NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 Ti (GPU)
    16GB RAM
    I have 1TB HDD internal drive
    And an external 2TB HDD drive
    (i downloaded premiere on both drives seperately and it still wouldnt work)

    Welcome to the Premiere Pro forums! We are glad to see you here. Are you new to Premiere, or was it already installed and something changed? If so, what changed? Can you tell me a bit more about your computer specs as well?
