Premiere still crashing - all versions

I've posted a few times on this recently but thought I'd post again.  My computer was just updated/cleaned up by my IT guy. New faster hard drive.  My hope was that it would clear up the Premiere crashing issues.  But it has not. I have versions 2019, 2021 and 2022.  All crash.  The tend to crash when I'm not even editing. There are a few other minor bugs.

 

All other Adobe products seem to work fine, so the issue is with Premiere and something about my system.

 

Going to try to connect with Adobe Support tomorrow.

 

Just curious if anyone else has a similar issue. The crash doesn't seem to be related to anything specific. As I said, it tends to crash when I'm away not touching anything.

What are the complete computer specs, including hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

If NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

do you mean your computer on sleep or stanby like that?

There must be some background app that kill your required PP process (or whatever) when your PC on sleep/stanby.

No, it's not on sleep or standby.  I mean if I just get up and walk away to take a break.  Sometimes it will crash when I'm actually editing, but mostly when I'm not in front.  Sometimes is may go 24 hours without crashing, then crash several times in one day.

 

It would be one thing if crashed when I was doing something specific, but there is no pattern here.

If you contact Adobe support, as soon as you get someone "live" either phone or chat, ask for the Video queue. That gets you past the generalists to a specialist.

"versions 2019, 2021 and 2022"

 

Tim, those version numbers suggest a better match for Premiere Elements.  Would you please confirm Pro or Elements?

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor  3.70 GHZ

32 GB installed Ram

Windows 10 Pro

Local C: 1.8 TB,  1.55 TB free

Data 😧 7.2 TB,   7TB free

Date E:  3.6 TB, 1.31 TB free

 

I have these versions of Premiere Pro:

Adobe Premiero Pro  V. 22.1.2

Premiere Pro: 15.4.1

Premiere Pro  v. 14.9

 

All of them crash.  Most of the footage I work with is 4K from a Sony A7s2.  I make proxy files and edit with those.  I also use some 2.7k from an Osmo Pocket.  I use a lot of templates from Motion Array.

 

Most of the time Premiere crashes when I'm not in front of it.  See attached image, this is the error message I receive every single time.

Premiere Pro v. 13.1.5

 

Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver):  This is above my pay grade, but my IT guy said my system may be using the game driver and that he will remote in later and see for sure.

 

Again, all other Premiere apps work just fine, it's just Premiere crashing.
