Probably some Video Memory leaks in 23 in 23.1 even more pronounced

It seems to me that the latest versions of Adobe Premiere Pro 23 and 23.1 suffer from some kind of video memory leak. Most often this occurs when importing files and I get a blue screen and the computer resets. With the latest update to 23.1 this is even more apparent. For some reason, after some time video editing gets slower to the point where it is barely possible to cut clips because every time I scroll through the timeline ( usually to a new clip ) I have to wait about a second or more before Premiere Pro unlocks. It lasts 1-2 seconds max but every time I scroll and cut clips it becomes unusable at all and only turning the program off completely and on again helps.

I suggest most people do not install the latest version. I have a very powerful machine and so far everything edited smoothly until the latest update.

Ryzen 5950x
64 GB DDR4 RAM
GTX 1080
Windows 10 Pro - it is updated to the latest version along with the graphics drivers

It sounds like you may be experiencing a memory leak issue with Adobe Premiere Pro versions 23 and 23.1. A memory leak occurs when a program or application continues to consume more and more memory over time, even though it is no longer needed. This can cause the program to slow down or crash, as you have described.

It's possible that the latest update to version 23.1 has introduced this issue, and it may not be limited to your specific computer. It is a good idea to check Adobe forums and support website to see if other users are reporting similar issues and if Adobe has released any statement regarding this problem.

Sorry about that. Try rolling back NVIDIA drivers to 517.xx as a workaround. That worked for others.

Thanks,
