Ripple Delete not working

When I right click to ripple delete a very simple deadspace in a clip, the ripple delete option will pop up on screen next to my cursor like it did in previous updates but then before I can click on it to continue with the ripple delete it disappears. (No, there are no other parts of the clip I'm missing that would prevent a ripple delete)

This happened to me as well, the gap I highlighted to delete would only stay highligted for a breif moment, then dissapear.

However the issue remedied itself after the large source video I dragged in was done optimizing.
