Question

System volume increases to a deafening level when playing back footage

I am working on a video, and keep getting a weird issue whenever I play back the footage.

Sometimes when I click play on premiere, the computer's volume will go to 0, then over a few seconds it will increase to a deafening volume where I have to take my headphones off. It will go back to normal after a few seconds.

It is more likely to occur whenever I start playback from a loud part of the music, rather than when the music is quieter.

It's been happening for a while, I think it started when I updated my PC to Windows 11 22h2. It occurs in other projects/other clips, but it occurs very frequently with the loud/bass heavy clip.

I'd be grateful if someone has a solution!

Hello @JJsGraphics,

If so, the team will need more information from you to reproduce the bug. Can you provide the information required here? How do I write a bug report?

I'll move your post to the Discussions board while we await your information.

Thanks,
