With the launch of Photoshop today that supports the new mac touch bar, how soon can we see Premiere Pro launching with the same functionality?

Since Adobe has now made any telephone or email contact with support staff impossible, there is absolutely no way to know if MacBook Pro Touchbar is supported by Photoshop Elements.

Did you try asking fellow users in the Photoshop Elements Forum:

Yes, someone else posted that question last December and has not been answered yet https://forums.adobe.com/message/9178092#9178092 <https://forums.adobe.com/message/9178092#9178092>

Online it appears that the full version of Photoshop does support MacBook Pro touchbar but no mention of it with Photoshop Elements or Photoshop Elements Premiere.

I have Photoshop Elements 14 and will gladly update to Photoshop Element 15 if it gives me support for touch bar in the MacBook Pro that I am about to buy. https://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/ <https://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/>

    Thanks for your email

Here's a way to get function keys to display while working in Premiere: Using function keys on MacBook Pro with Touch Bar - Apple Support

Surprisingly -- didn't see the F keys there.

I have the same question. Seeing the how it added to FCP's workflow I would love to see this on Premiere as well.

I kind of hope never.  There are probably 1000 other things that deserve Adobe's limited resources.

For us with touch bar MBP, this is a huge deal since it replaces the function keys. I would think this would be very high priority for Adobe. I no longer have shortcuts to overwrite, insert and replace without having to change my keyboard shortcuts.

You can access the F keys:

1 - Apple Menu > System Preferences > Keyboard > Press Fn key to show > Show F1, F2, etc. Keys

2 - Press the Fn key while you're in Premiere.

What I haven't figure out: how to make the Fn keys the default display on the touch bar, so that the Fn key brings up the (at this point insufficient) App buttons.  I'd rather not have to use up valuable pinky resources.

    Either way would be fine:

    - A fully-mappable touch bar

    - A default (no Fn modifier push required) display of Fn keys.

    Anyone have a solution?
