Unable to select audio channel (Modify Clip)

I am trying to change the audio channels of my clips to be just out of the right media source channel. However, the buttons to select (or cancel) are cut off from my pop-up window. And, since I'm unable to pick them I have to force quit Premiere Pro entirely.

This has happened on and off since the 2025 release. I'm currently using 25.1 on an Apple M2 Max with the latest update.

To reproduce the problem:

1: Right-click on the audio and select "Audio Channels..."

When the modify clip window pops up - the issue is there (screenshot attached)

I am also having the same issue!! Has only happened in the last week, and even after updating Premiere it is still happening. So frustrating as you can't exit the window without force quitting argh. Where you able to find a solution?

@moragd41902145 - the only way I've been able to make it work is to unplug my external monitors when I need to adjust the audio channels. It is DUMB that this is the only way that it works - BUT, it works...

I then just plug back in the external monitor when I'm editing the project again.

Pressing escape does close the window so you don't have to force quit.

Ahhh amazing yup unplugging my second monitor fixes it - lol how frustrating!!

Thanks heaps, hopefully they fix this bug asap

Changing audio channel format is done in the Project window, not in the timeline.

When done drag to the timeline.

I would check each monitor's display resolution and see if changing that can resolve the issue.

Hi Rach -

Thanks for the quick response. I hadn't considered that it could be an issue because I'm using multiple monitors. I removed the monitors and the function worked as expected. Once I plugged the monitors back in, it was back to the same issue.

Yeah, this is really messed up. I'm experiencing the same issue -- and can't change the audio config of a clip because of it. There's no (visible) "save" or "ok" or even "cancel" option available in the pop-up window. So all I can do is "escape" out of the window -- but then changes aren't saved. It's unacceptable for Adobe to no allow editors to modify elements JUST because they're using a 2nd monitor (which probably 80% of users do, and certainly 95% of real editors do.) @Adobe please fix!

I agree; it certainly seems like a bug. Mac or PC? I am Win 11, PR 25.5.0, and I see the OK/Cancel buttons in the Modify clip window, accessed from the Timeline or Project Panel.

I have a second monitor connected via the PC graphics card, and using Transmit to send the Program Monitor output. I also changed so I had one panel in the second monitor and moved the modify clip window there. Nothing I do results in loss of the Okay/Cancel buttons.

Re Ann's point: your options are limited when you pick Audio Channels from the timeline. But you should still see OK/Cancel.

Do you get the same problem whether you are accessing from the Timeline or the Project Panel?

Hi @Sarah302415000hwl,

That definitely doesn't look correct. If you hit escape, you should still be able to close the window out of the menu. Can you tell me if you are using multiple monitors?
