Video dissovle transition is the only transition effect that will apply.

Adobe Premiere CC 2026.

The only video transition that it will permit me apply to the time line is dissolve.

Transformers, slide, wipe, etc. will not apply. They APPEAR to let me drag them to a clip, but do not show up in the Effect Control window.

I’m getting it to work, on Windows 25H2 and P: 26.5.1 b1.

You didn’t mention how you are doing it or even a Win or Mac.
