Question

Wav Audio goes out of sync after cutting and moving file, after switching from audio units to frames

Yet another bug here, since premiere 22.3 (as noticed for a particular project)

Macbook pro 16, M1 max 32GB,

Premiere latest version 23.4

Issue: When syncing audio via timeline on "show audio time units" audio becomes unsynced when returning to normal frames mode.

When making edits, or ripple cuts, the manually synced audio file jumps a percentage out of sync, even after being cut to zero, and matching the start/end times of the clips in normal frame mode.

linking files still goes out of sync after any movement, same with grouped.

In all logic this shouldnt happen, the audio file shouldnt move around once set, even locked it drifts, I cant think of another solution as I need to edit from source.

Try resetting the preferences:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-premiere-pro/td-p/8236158?page=1

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

None of the above fixes the issue, remains across multiple machines.

Try uninstalling, use the Cleaner tool, and reinstalling.

Using clips with variable framerate?

Non whatsoever, all locked 25, and Wav audio files.

Basically manually sync the wav, and it snaps back after making unrelated edits elsewhere in the sequence.
