Waveform and audio issues

Question

I have two problems. Initially, I noticed that all my sequences have no waveforms. I went through all the relevant steps of generating waveforms automatically, deleting media cache, etc. But still no waveforms. This applies to any project I edit.

I then imported a sound file, but the sound doesn't play. The sequesnce has A1 and A2.
I've checked this sound that's in a previous project that was exported with the sound playing fine, but it now doesn't play there either.

Hi @jamieclarke thanks so much for replying. Strangely, after all afternoon at work of having this problemn, I've now got home and it's working. I'll let you know if it happens again though.

In your settings under Audio do you have "Generate waveforms automatically during import checked"?

Do you see the bars moving on your audio meters?
