When I click play, the blue timeline indicator does NOT move at all, so I have no idea where I am o.

After Update on Premiere Pro 2025:

When I click play, the blue timeline indicator does NOT move at all, so I have no idea where I am only when I open the display setting for the timeline does the bar run

Hi @frank25175729istq - Can you provide a screen recording of your issue? 

 

Can you navigate to Preferences under the Audio Hardware tab make sure Default Input is set to "No Input"

do you mean this setting area.
The timeline starts running as soon as I press play and open the display settings of the editing window!
The opened display settings of the editing window cover part of the editing window on the left, but now the timeline moves
