why cant I import .mp4 into adobe premeire pro I have done this 1000's of times before???

This is insane???? how can I get past this terrible bug???? I have used PP since CS2 and imported 1000's of MP4's                So LAME.............

OK I figured it out, it was the Codec not supported by PP.

Hi @Tony States ,

Sorry for the problem. Can you please share the Premiere Pro version , device details and media properties (accessible from the Project panel --> Right-click on the media file or mediainfo tool)?
If possible, please share any problematic media file to help us reproduce this issue locally. Thank you for your cooperation.

Is the codec used inside the file supported by Premiere?

Use Mediainfo to check.
