Can't Edit or even Scroll transcript? Bug?

When I do voice to text transcript, the script seems to come out find and appear, however I cannot even scroll up nor can I click to edit the words! Is anyone else having this bug? Super frustrating 😞

Same here. Keeps scrolling down, no way to edit the transcript. Creating captions makes an empty subtitle track. There is no way to delete the transcript. Only option is re-transcribing, but that doesn't fix the issue. Restarting everything (Premiere and PC) doesn't help. Screenshots don't show anything. Becaue it just scrolls back down. Words don't highlight when playing the sequence. It's basically stuck.

Let me first report what I am seeing in PR Beta 22.1.1 Build 33. Transcript created okay. Disble Autoscroll is off (and changing it does not change what I see). I can scroll and edit transcript. Timecodes are okay. Captions are created okay and are editable, etc.

There is a bug, fixed in Build 7, related to transcribing with in/out set. So I also tested this in PR 22.0.0 (Release) where the bug is present. I'll report more detail below, but the bottom line is that I think you are seeing this bug and it also presents the problems you are seeing. The workaround is to not use the in/out option or to set both in and out markers.

See this post and the thread linked there:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-beta-discussions/transcribe-in-to-out-creates-bad-timecodes/td-p/12482627

Another user who reports Build 33 is still seeing the problem.

My tests with 22.0.0: As expected, the transcript is created with incorrect timecodes, because they start 9 hours plus late. I had not noticed before (I was doing tests on short timelines), but I am able to scroll to the bottom once; then it locks to the bottom of the frame. There are no "arrows" to move the scroll bar, and trying to scroll with the mouse results in a jerky movement (as if it will scroll up) and then jerks back to the bottom. If I maximize the Text Panel, I can see all the transcript, but I cannot edit any transcript text. In either condition (text panel maximized or not), I can edit the Speaker.

Also as expected with the bug, clicking on Create Captions results in the process appearing to complete, and a Caption Track being created, but without captions and the Text Panel, Caption Tab is also empty of captions. (Unlike some other bugs being reported, the Text Panel is not empty of its control buttons, etc.

Yeah, I just figured it out myself. There was only an Out-point set. So setting an explicit In-Point fixed the issue.

Works fine for me. Some reports of issues. Screenshot might help.

Are captions created okay?
