Question

Can we get MKV and VP9 import on Premiere?

Being able to import MKV and VP9 videos into Premiere would save me more than an hour per day that I have to spend converting the videos first.  It owuld also save me space to not have 2 versions of a video on my hard drives.  Today I am spending at least 3 hours converting videos, and perhaps that is all I will actually get done today, as it may end up taking the whole day trying to get ahead so i dont have to wait tomorrow and the coming days.

Thank you for considering this.

It does not seems to work with VP9 file though. Any plan for supporting VP9? 🙂

MKV support was just added to the Beta version of Premiere Pro - https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-beta-discussions/now-in-beta-support-for-h-264-in-mkv/m-p/14961160

Unfortunately, VP9 support for MKV is not currently on our roadmap.
