We just released a new version of Premiere Pro for M1 Macs with full MP3 support, could you try it and let me know if you're still having the issue with your audio? Thanks.

New: Updates to Apple Silicon Betas including MP3 support

Ah, sorry - i assumed it was for the m1 beta only.  I'm on a mac mini M1 with v15.0.0.25 (i think - it says "Changes since last opened in v15.0.0.25")

No problem.  This beta forum is for all Premiere beta versions. As we have not seen a Premiere update in a week, I figure the devs are busy trying to address the M1 issues and other bugs filed.  The M1 macs have audio issues and until a new build is avaialble, you might be stuck having audio errors.

Current beta version is build 27, so you could try updating to see if the issue goes away.

Have you tried transcoding your audio to wav or aif format and see if you don't get the error?
