Question

Import FM books in RH 2022, map file .h is not supported,

We are unable to import the existing mappings, which have worked for years, during the update/import so that they work. It is to despair. Here is the description:

Now we want to import the Framemaker books (old projects) into Robohelp 2022 and the context sensitivity (predefined numbers, TopicAlias tags) should also be transferred.

So far we have worked with map files in this format: file.h syntax #define <Topic> <Number>
This worked for Framemaker books with TopicAlias tags and all outputs of Robohelp Classic. The map file was imported into Robohelp Classic as a baggage file and then an ali file was created from it (as far as I understand it)
I do have a working link after the import. (this works without a map file, only via the TopicAlias markers in Framemaker)
The import of the map file .h as an assignment file looks good at first: the numbers are correctly assigned to the topics, but the links have disappeared.
(Same result with migration of Robohelp Classic project.
There is a way to make it work: the publish function in Framemaker reads the .h file. But there are other problems.)

Don't get me wrong, I know how to change the entries manually, but I need to have a secure update process for hundreds of mapping numbers. How do I do that? How can I prepare my .h file so that it can be read in? The Framemaker files are linked and updated again and again. This must work.

What can we improve? Where do we need to adjust the specifications for RH 2022? Please help me.

I can't help you on this one and I believe the usual Fm issue supporter, Jeff Coatsworth, may not be available for a while.

If no one else can help you, I suggest for this one you need to go to Adobe Support. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.
