Search engine is returning the file name instead of the file title

Recently I did an upload to the internet. Now when the search engine is used it is using the file name as the headter, rather than the file title. In the example below you can see the result sould have been returned as 4.1.1.4.1 MFPP Change in Circumstances, not 4_1_1_4_1. This has been working fine for over a year and suddenly it is doing this since my most recent upload to the interent.

@Erwin.Timmerman Your comment makes me wonder if it is linked to a known issue. When this happens expand all the folders in Contents and look for a topic that is showing the file name instead of the topic title. As you say, select Properties in the context menu and just OK it. That corrects that problem. I am thinking that might be causing this issue.

The issue of the Contents Panel showing the file name instead of the topic title is listed at

RH-11277 | Tracker (adobe.com) and will be be fixed in an update.

I had to open 349 files in properties and select apply and the title applied to the file again in the contents section of RoboHelp. Ten of the files for some reason will not apply the title. Two of the ten completely lost the title, but still would not save the title after I entered it in again. Two other files are completely empty now, as in all the contents are lost. I will have to recreate those files. Otherwise, all of the other files work correctly now with the title showing up in the search.

It does that to me too occasionally, for no apparent reason. Only concerns one or two topics in a whole bunch. If that happens, you'll see the file name instead of the title also in the RH contents panel. Opening the file and saving it again solves the problem for that file (and a before-after diff does not give any changes so the file itself was good) until it pops up on another one. Luckily with me it's only once a month that this happens.

Not sure if your problem is the same but it might be worth looking into.

Ok, so something must have changed - I would first test out the sample project to see if you are seeing the same thing happening in it (just generate locally). If so, then I would update to Patch 8 and test your project again. If not, then it's got to be something in your project that's gotten messed up - more extensive troubleshooting would be required then.

Yes, I have checked the title field, it is the extended title as I would expect, rather than the file name that is showing up.

No, the local output is not working either.

Is it working if you look at the output locally?

The search results uses the Title value in the Topic Properties, not the text of the first heading in the topic, I believe. Have you checked the Title field to make sure it shows the text you expect?

It was created using patch 6, as it has been for the past year or so. No changes were done to the system or settings.
