Greetings,

Is it possible to set up a Skip to Main Content link using the Responsive HTML5 output with the Azure Blue template? I don't see the options for this in the Azure Blue template.

I read this related post: https://community.adobe.com/t5/robohelp-discussions/rh2020-skip-to-main-content-link-seen-above-header-for-some-users/m-p/12097680

My understanding is this is added automatically during generation, and your users shouldn't see/access it unless they've enabled accessibility features in the browser or are using accessibility tools.

Are you saying that your users need this accessibility feature and it hasn't been included automatically in the output? The linked thread suggests the feature is in RH2020. If you're using RH2019 Classic or New UI you might not get this feature. Or perhaps you're using an earlier version of RH2020 that didn't have it? (Or maybe it's just not in Azure Blue - it wouldn't be the first time things are in one skin but not another.) Anyway, post the full RH version you're using so we can have a look.

If this isn't what you're after, let us know more information about what you're trying to achieve and we can try to think of some alternatives.

Hi

Yes, from what I have been able to find, this is an accessibility feature.  What I experience is, when using tab to move thorugh the current page, the first stop is the Skip to Main Content link (which is collapsed at first, but expands and gets focus when you click Tab after entering the page.

A problem I am encountering with the Link to Main Content is with SharePoint.  We pubslish our Frameless RH (2022.4.179) output to a SharePoint Document library.  When I click on the Link to Main Content, it takes me to the SharePoint library, displaying the full directory of files there.  That is not good.

See my response on that other thread.

That link is seen when you open a topic in CSH format without the TOC. If you open the help with the TOC it is not necessary.

Can you explain a bit more about the issue as you see it?

Which version of RH are you using? If you can't find anything in the skin, I think you're probably out of luck, at least in terms of accessibility features. You might be able to add something with javascript, but that probably wouldn't meet accessibility guidelines. (If you want it for some other reason than accessibility, and you have a developer available, then you could give it a try. Add the javascript file the the User Assets section of the skin.)

Thank you,

My RH version is 2022.0.346. I'll submit a request feature. We're finding that accessibility improvements are becoming more of a focus; it would be nice to have more prominent RH options for accessibility features.
