Question

The 3d-object cuts away.

When I scan a horizontal surface and place my 3d-objekt, big building, and the backs the phone (ios) away about 50 meters the 3d-object starts to cut away. Why, is there a max distans to the 3d or?

Sombody know anything about this?

Cheers!

I think the problem is that the rendering engine starts to get problems with textures if it grows too big. Textures simply start looking bad if it becomes too big. At least that is what I have experieced in other programs. Addmittedly, it is a severe limitation when uesed for architecture. I have filed a report on the subject, and I guess it would be useful if more people pointed this out to the developer team.

Yes there is indeed an allowed area or clipbox, and 50 meters is too big. Here is a similar example, where the airship was 48 meters long but where I had to scale it down to about half scale to be able to animate a a take off.

It's a pretty bad limitation that means you can't display large objects. So really the entire architecture industry is excluded 😞

Wondering why actually, because the AR support in the phones can show 3d from far away. I might try to get a response from ADOBE.
