    Hi All,

I have also the same problem and tried the above mentioned solutions but none of them works correctly.

During to trying to fix this problem I noticed the following error log message under docs&settings:

070226 13:40:31 [Warning] Can't open and lock time zone table: Table 'mysql.time_zone_leap_second' doesn't exist trying to live without them

Is there any relationship between the problem and this log?
It seems it has. I am not an expert but hopefully somebody can take a look at on this...

Thanks for any suggestion in advance!

    hey guys

I googled my problem and found this message board. Good ol' Goggle, haha. Anyways, I'm basically having the same problem. I installed Acrobat 8 Pro a little less than a month ago and it was trouble free until today. I opened some PDF's and it automatically shut down after about 10-15seconds. I "repaired" the installation, but to no avail.

Any solutions, yet? I have midterms coming up and my notes are all PDF's ><"

    My specs:

    Toshiba Satellite A100-SK9 Notebook
    Intel Duo Core 2.0ghz
    1024mb RAM

Win. XP Home Edition (should be updated to the latest version)

    Thanks in advance!

I have used 8.0 for several weeks and did not encounter any problem...until today. I felt frustrated. I formatted my harddisk and re-installed my Windows XP. BUT IT STILL CLASHED WITHIN 10 SECONDS! What a ridiculous software.....

The suggestion to delete the "organizer70" folder files works perfectly. Just go into Documents & Settings and find that folder under your user name. Delete the files in that folder and relaunch Arcobat. It worked like a charm for me. TheBeagle

My organizer database was damaged and I was able to fix it following Jeff Moran's Dec 12 10:23am suggestion.

I have a freshly installed Acrobat 8 Pro (activated, registered and updated) running on Win XP Pro 32 bit, dual core PC. Luckily, my A8 was not closing automatically as others are complaining here, but every time I closed the program I got a message: "The Organizer database is damaged and will be reset the next time Acrobat is launched". So I deleted all the files in the "organizer70" sub-folder, relaunched A8 and the organizer70 sub-folder immediately repopulated itself with new files and, apparently, fixed itself. I have been having no problems since.

NOTE: It didn't work at first for me because I was deleting the wrong organizer70 folder, I was deleting the organizer70 files for "All Users". Once I deleted the organizer70 files under my username/Administrator, everything worked like a charm.

I had the same problem every time I closed a PDF file...

If you have no need for the organizer, you can solve this problem by selecting Preferences under the Edit menu; under Categories, select Documents; and where it says "Remember files in Organizer History for:", select "Don't remember PDF's".

One more thing, I uninstalled Acrobat 7 before installing Acrobat 8 Pro.
