Adobe Acrobat can't automatically open pdf files downloaded from Chrome

Hi!

I have to setup a computer so that when the user clicks a pdf link on his chrome browser, it automatically downloads the PDF and opens it in Adobe Acrobat.

I setup the browser to automatically download the file, but I can't find the setting to automatically open the downloaded PDF file from Chrome.

Many users seem to want to do the opposite.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat through the Creative Cloud app and I'm still missing that setting.

I'm assuming I'm using the wrong software, but I'm not sure which one I'm suppose to use, and I would appreciate some guidance with Adobe's confusing softwares.

@NicBGM I know on a Mac, I can click select a file, right-click it to see the More Info, and change the default setting when opening the file: For example, I have an image selected, and it will automatically be open in Preview. I can change this to a different app if I wanted. Not sure how that is set up on a PC....
