Hi there

We are sorry for the trouble. As described above the Acrobat Reader DC is freezing

Would you mind sharing more information for a better understanding:

  • Is it freezing on a particular action or function or just freezing randomly?
  • Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDF file?
  • What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and the OS of the machine? To check the version of the application please use the help link here (https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html)

Please try the troubleshooting steps provided in the help articles below:

https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-crashes-on-windows-os.html For Windows

https://helpx.adobe.com/in/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-mac.html For Mac

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

Hi Ged.

I downloaded and installed the fixes but the problem persists.

When I launch Acrobat Reader or open a PDF document with Acrobat, it becomes unresponsive and nothing can be done with document or application.

Microsoft technician was logged onto my latop for 1 hour 45 minutes yesterday afternoon and could not resolve the issue. They have now logged a Level 2 support call but will only phone me back on Wednesday 27th November 2019.

Please advise where else I can investigate to see where the problem stems from.
