All Tools Pane Disappears/Empty When I Select Edit PDF?

When I select “Edit PDF” option, the “All Tools” pane disappears.

This issue seems persistent.

I’ve tried looking at the view/show settings.

Running a repair on the installation.

Uninstalling and Reinstalling Adobe Acrobat.

Can someone please help or provide some suggestions?

Thank you,

Thanks for your patience and cooperation on this.

The patch is available with the fix 26.001.21691, Planned update, Jun 25, 2026. Please install the latest build of Acrobat from Menu > Help> Check for updates. Restart the machine after installing the updates, and check the performance of the app.

We are seeing this issue happen across all of our fleet, Windows 11 & Mac OS 14/15/26… Anyone have a workaround that can be pushed out via MDMs that would fix this issue?

Our helpdesk did find a workaround. In Adobe Acrobat, click the Menu button in the top-right corner, then select Disable New Adobe. Once that is selected, the toolbar should reappear.

Please note that disabling the new Adobe experience will bring the toolbar back, but users will lose access to the drawing function.

I don’t have access to Admin settings on my work computer and there is no one in I.T. that can help this week.  What else can I do?

I have the same issue when trying to use Organize Pages. The registry hack worked for me.

I have the same problem. It started two days ago. I reinstalled the app but the problem persisted. I’m using the workaround but I don’t like it be because the “new” experience was better until this failure made the “new” experience worthless. I agree that a hotfix is preferable. My employer is paying good money for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Users ought not have to monkey around with the registry. Do your Job Adobe.

I have multiple users experiencing this issue as well. It would be difficult to do the REG key for multiple devices.

How long until this update is pushed out as our helpdesk is flooded with this complaint.

    TIA

Does no one test this before it goes live?

I fear they were attempting to vacate the office for Juneteenth holiday and decided “this one time testing should be omitted”! The audacity of them! 👀👣

I’ve had about 4 total users report this very issue and our recommendation has been to disable new experiences. Having them use the classic Acrobat layout hasn’t been too much of a hassle for users. Still hopeful this gets resolved in a hot fix as suggested.

The “new Acrobat” has, unfortunately, been a problematic option from the start that is universally rejected by the users. You can add your voice to this thread:

An ETA on the patch would be lovely before end of day

Added the DWORD value and rebooted.  This change worked.  Adobe Acrobat is now loading the menus on the left.  Though I do have to agree with several other users, this should not be the answer. Recommending several basic computer users go edit their registry and make changes when they likely don’t understand what they are doing can be potentially dangerous.  A hotfix would be appreciated.

@TechDude This worked for me! It also made my acrobat look like the rest of my teams, so i appreciate the suggestion!

Workaround I found is to disable nrw acrobat. It will revert back to previous version where you can use the tools. If you don't have admin privilege this should fix the issue until the issue is resolved.
