All Tools Pane Disappears/Empty When I Select Edit PDF?

When I select “Edit PDF” option, the “All Tools” pane disappears.

This issue seems persistent.

I’ve tried looking at the view/show settings.

Running a repair on the installation.

Uninstalling and Reinstalling Adobe Acrobat.

 

Can someone please help or provide some suggestions?

    Hi All,

     

    Thanks for your patience and cooperation on this.

    The patch is available with the fix 26.001.21691, Planned update, Jun 25, 2026. Please install the latest build of Acrobat from Menu > Help> Check for updates. Restart the machine after installing the updates, and check the performance of the app.

    Hi,

    Is there an ETA on the patch to fix this bug? I have several hundred users,and have had to deploy this many time since yesterday.

    We currently do not have an ETA. However, the team is working on this as a priority, and the fix patch will be available soon.

    Is there a case or incident number associated with this bug? I see that the product team is working on a fix. I want to know where I can check for status updates on this for our end users.

    I hope you are doing well. Here is the Bug number, which is logged internally: ADC-4576036. However, it won’t open at your end, as this is an internal JIRA ticket. If you contact the call/chat support team and share the ticket number. The team will be able to provide you with the latest update.

    I will share an update on this thread as soon as the fix is available with the public release.

    I’ve been working with one of our users in exactly the same situation. Anand’s fix helped us, but a patch would be appreciate it, thanks!

    I have an entire organization with this issue which all departments cannot have their IT change registries like this. Adobe really needs to patch this ASAP instead of everyone messing with registry options.

    Work around you can go to file and disable new Acrobat and it will change it to old look. Then if you select edit the tools will appear again.

    None of the other troubleshooting steps have worked. And when I attempt to create a new value in that register I get an error “Cannot create value: Error writing to the registry.” Is this just due to the profile settings my company has?

    Your IT department will need to run the reg editor as admin if it’s locked down to make those changes for you.

    Worked for me but i did new install on another device after the issue in my computer and that computer wasn’t or hasn’t been afected yet.

    Have you identified what or when is the issue being triggered?
