Cannot open password-protected PDF on MacOs 15.1.1, but can in Preview

The password is correct, mac Preview shows the contents with the correct password.

Acrobat Pro keeps telling me, the password is wrong (even with copy-pasting it).

Clearly an Acrobat bug.

I want my money back.

The generator was Aspose.PDF for .NET 24.01.0 -- thankfully macos preview app could open the file, print to a new, unproptected PDF and display metadata. Why do I need Adobe Acrobat if it can do LESS?
