How to change line spacing for an entire document?

How can I change the line and/or character spacing for an entire document? I have visual processing issues, where it's difficult for me to read when the text is too crammed. The only reason why I purchased Acrobat was because they advertised that you can change easily change the spacing in documents. However, it seems that you can only change the spacing for one paragraph at a time, which makes it incredibly tedious to change the entire document. Furthermore, it is worthless, because after changing the spacing the fields grossly overlap and the entire document becomes unreadable. Please help!!!

If that's what the advertising said then it's grossly misleading. PDF files were never meant to be edited in such an extensive way, and trying to do so will likely result in a lot of issues, as you've seen. You can adjust one paragraph, maybe, but there's no way to adjust the entire contents of the file in this way.

The real solution is to go back to the original file format and make the changes there, then create a new PDF file from it.
