Logo displays blurry in Acrobat Reader, but not in browser

I have updated few client reports with a new company logo in Microsoft Reporting Server.

When I view the generated PDF with Chrome or Edge, the logo looks good. But when I open the same PDF in Adobe Acrobat, the logo looks blurry.

I attached part of the page display settings (in Finnish) in Acrobat that I'm using. Even with these settings in place, the logo looks blurry.

I have the EPS version of the logo, but I'm forced to convert it to PNG first, since the Report Server doesn't support EPS (or SVG) image format.

Regards,

Timo

Problem solved.

Adobe Acrobat doesn't like (at least in my case) logos with a transparent background.

As soon as my logo had a white background, it started showing properly.

Timo

Please share screen shots of the problem. If you can't share the actual logo please make a similar graphic.

Unfortunately I'm now allowed to share the client logo. Instead, I created a logo for testing purposes.

Once I open the PDF, the left-side version is displayed with Chrome. The right one is how Acrobat displays it. I have zoomed both images 250%.

The difference may not be that much in my example. With the actual client logo (and, without any zooming), the difference is considerable. In that case the new logo looks blurry in Acrobat, but sharp in Chrome or in Edge.

Timo
