Page Thumbnail View

In Page Thumbnails View, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC indicates which page is shown in the viewing panel with a small black square in the lower right-hand corner of the page (on the Page Thumbnail).  Is there ANY way to make that more visible/obvious at a glance?  i.e. Is there an option to highlight the page or make it a color?  Thanks in advance.

The black square shows more than just which page you're viewing. It shows the area you're viewing within that page, and it allows you to change that area, too, by dragging the black box around or resizing it (via the black square).

There's no way I'm aware of to make it more visible. though. Maybe by making the thumbnails themselves bigger...

There are two different things going on in the Thumbnails panel:

  • tiny black square
  • Blue highlights

If you click on the thumbnail it will turn blue. You can be viewing one page (as reflected by the Tiny Black Square) and have a different page selected in the thumbnails page (as refelcted by the blue outline).

This article should help. It's from an earlierversion of Acrobat, but it still works the same in Acrobat DC.

Also, it's worth noting that I am running MacOS. I don't know if its the same in Windows. What OS are you running?

Hi Alisha,

We are sorry for the trouble. Are you referring to page thumbnail preview in the windows explorer? If yes, you can enable the page thumbnail preview in the windows explorer as follows.

Go to Edit > Preferences > General > Select, Enable page thumbnail preview in windows explorer > Click ok.

Please share the screenshot of the issue if you are referring to something else.

Regards

Amal
