Question

Plugin does not load in but is in the plugins folder

Hello all,

I just got a new computer in my office and installed all the programs we use. One of the programs has some toolbar plugins for Adobe Acrobat. This plugin works on every other computer in the office with no problem. On my new one, however, it does not appear. There's no error message or anything - it's just not there. I checked that the file is put into the Program Files > Adobe > Acrobat DC > Acrobat > plug_ins folder and it is, but the plugin still will not load in. This plugin makes my job infinitely easier, so I really would like to keep it if possible. Any ideas why it doesn't want to load in? Basically, all it does is add a Save button that communicates with another program so things are saved in a special way, but doing it all manually is very time-consuming.

Acrobate du PDF, InDesigner et Photoshopographe

Using the newest version of Acrobat DC, Windows 10, as are all the computers in the office, except two of them are using Windows 11. Right now there are two using Windows 10, two using Windows 11, and this new one that is also 10. All of them work except for the new one.

"Newest" doesn't tell us enough. Please check and give the specific version, something like 2021.123.98765, not "latest". For each system. And please check whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit on each system, and let us know (matching up with the versions you quote).

It says "Continuous Release | Version 2022.001.20142 | 64-bit." It says there are no available updates so I assume that's the latest version. All systems are running the same version.

Maybe Acrobat is 64-bit and the plug-in needs updating.

But it still works on all the other computers? Even the Windows 11 ones

Please be more specific about the Acrobat version, operating system and clarify if all the other computers have the exact same system requirements as the computer that you're having the issue.
