I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 24.005.20320. Planned update, Dec 10, 2024. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and check.

Also, try to change your voice settings in Acrobat:

Access Preferences: Go to "Menu > "Preferences" in the Acrobat.
Select Reading Options: In the left pane, choose "Reading".
Change Voice: Uncheck "Use Default Voice" and select a different voice from the dropdown list.

Also, for testing purposes, disable "Enable Protected mode at start up". Go to Menu > Preferences > Security (Enhanced). Then check if you still get the beep sound.

It is recommended to enable the "Protected mode" after testing is complete.
